Registration for Educational Placement Services

We strongly suggest you register with the Career Planning and Placement Office at the beginning of your Phase II semester to receive placement services. Registration simply requires completion of the “Wildcat Recruiting” registration card and filling out your short, on-line profile. It is necessary to reactivate your status each year you desire active service.

Step 1 - Complete the short “Education Wildcat Recruiting Voucher” and you will be entered into our office database. This first step will generate an e-mail providing you with your username and password.

Step 2 - Access your new account and fill out the profile, academic information, and job search information. See Wildcat Career Connection Registration to get step-by-step instructions.

Step 3 - Upload your résumé under the “Documents” tab. We will use this electronic version of your résumé to make referrals to prospective hiring officials at school districts that request it. Fill it out completely and concisely.   The more information we have, the better we can help you.

• Credential Information – Project ahead listing all credentials you will hold when seeking employment, such as multiple subject, supplemental authorizations, all single subjects attained, and so on. We assume all credentials now will come with CLAD, unless otherwise mentioned. We use this information regarding your credential when districts contact us to email announcements, or supply districts with names and résumés.

Wildcat Career Connection System

The Wildcat Recruiting System is our database that will enable us to best provide service to you. It allows us to electronically contact you regarding important job related information, positions which may be of interest, and e-mail job announcements directly to you. Additionally, the résumé feature will allow us to respond to school districts that are looking for specific candidates and electronically send your résumés to those prospective employers. Searching for jobs: This database also features a very robust job search engine and is linked throughout the country posting many teaching and educationally related positions. Though most will not be California-based, it certainly is worth exploring. Click on Jobs and Internships tab, then under show me jobs, and select from all available sources.

Register: Ed-Join

Ed-Join is widely seen as the primary site to use in seeking an educationally-related position in California.   Some districts will only accept applicants who apply through this site, so we recommend candidates register and provide all documents such as résumé, letters of reference, and application. We provide a free computer lab and scanner to help you with this process. Click on the title of this section to go to the Ed-Join site.
