Wildcat
Career Connection
Step-By-Step Registration Instructions

Wildcat Career Connection is the web-based job search
database for CSU, Chico, where you can research jobs, apply for jobs on-line,
register to receive job announcements from our office via email, and post your
resume so we can forward it to districts who request candidates.
1. Register
The first step to register within
the Wildcat Recruiting system is to fill out a registration card and return it
to the Career Center. Within about 2 days from the time
you turn in your card, you will receive your Wildcat Recruiting username and
password. You can log-on to Wildcat Career Connection and
complete your profile.
2. Complete Your Profile
We encourage you to complete your
profile and upload your resume in the computer lab in our office so we are
available to answer questions you may have. Important things to remember
about your profile:
- Change your password immediately
- Do not guess or stretch the truth on any part of
your profile. Falsifying any part of your profile will result in termination
from the Wildcat Recruiting program.
- For your GPA, round to the nearest number.
- Within the major field, either choose the
appropriate single subject credential or multiple subject, all beginning with
“Education.” If you have a
supplemental authorization, you will indicate that within the minor field,
beginning with “Education Supplement.”
3. Upload Your Resume/Transcripts/Letters of Recommendation
- .Save
your resume in a “.doc” or “.rtf” format before you upload it. You can name your resume
whatever you would like, but keep in mind that districts will be able to see the
name of the resume. Upload your resume as soon as possible so we will be able to send a copy to requesting school districts, and you will be able to apply for a position available through the Wildcat Career Connection
- Some employers require letters of
recommendation to be included with each application, so it might be a good idea to
upload your letters as soon as you get them so they will be available.
- You can
also upload your transcript. You can either scan a hard copy of your transcript,
or access your transcript on the CSUC portal, cut and paste it onto a Word
document and then upload. Transcripts and letters of recommendation are
classified as “other documents” within the system.
- We will only send your resume to districts that
request candidates with your particular credential, and those located within
your stated geographic preference. We will not send your transcripts or letters.
Please see our Privacy Policy for more information. The purpose of uploading your letters and transcripts is for your personal use
when applying to positions posted within the database.
