Biography for Byron
M. Jackson
Dr. Byron M. Jackson has been a
member of the faculty in the Department of Political Science since 1974. Dr.
Jackson served as Public Administration Coordinator for 15 years. He also
served as Special Assistant to the Dean of the Graduate
School, Associate Dean of the College
of Behavioral and Social Sciences,
and most recently as Vice Provost for Academic Affairs and Dean of Undergraduate
Education. He returned to the Political Science Department as Chair of the
Department in the fall of 2002. Dr. Jackson has co-authored The Public Policy Dictionary(1987)
and Nuclear Energy Policy: A Handbook
for Reference and Research (1990) with Earl Kruschke.
He published The Encyclopedia of American
Public Policy in 1999. His teaching areas include public administration,
public management, American government, and Canadian politics.
