Admissions


Required Undergraduate Preparation


All new students enter as conditionally classified graduate students. Students must meet the following requirements:


  • A satisfactory grade point average (3.0 on a scale where A = 4.0) in the last 30 semester units attempted and a 2.75 in the last 60 semester units attempted.)
  • Approval by the Department of Political Science and the Office of Graduate Programs.
  • An acceptable baccalaureate in Political or Social Science from an accredited institution, or an equivalent approved by the Office of Graduate Programs.

Conditionally classified students are expected to make no grade lower than a B-, and finish all course work (no "Incomplete" or "Satisfactory Progress").
