Internships
Students in all departmental undergraduate majors are encouraged (and, in the case of the general political science and public administration majors, required) to enroll in at least one three-unit internship. Many students find opportunities that match their interests in the internship programs offered by CLIC , CAVE , or the Chico State Women's Center.
Other students take advantage of established external programs, such as The Panetta Congressional Internship, The Sacramento Semester Program, and The Capital Fellowship Programs.
Still other students seek out a more individualized path based on their career-path or interests. For more information on internships in the following program areas, please contact the internship coordinators listed below.
| Area of interest | Internship coordinator |
|---|---|
| Criminal Justice | Professor Caudill |
| Legal Studies | Professor DeLorenzo |
| Political Science (General) | Professor Dwyre |
| Public Administration | Professor Schmidt |
| International Relations | Professor Jacob |
For internships beyond the scope of political science, see the University's Career Planning and Placement Office.
