Subject: Approval for Changes to French Minor
I approve the proposed revisions to the minor in French for implementation effective Fall 1989. The revisions, which change the total number of course requirements for the minor from 20-26 and 12-32 units, include the following:
FRENCH MINOR
Upper-division requirements: 12 Units
9 Units selected from each of the following pairs:
FREN 100A - Composition and Advanced Grammar - 3 Units
FREN 100B - Composition and Advanced Grammar - 3 Units
FREN 140A - Survey of French Literature - 3 Units
FREN 140B - Survey of French Literature - 3 Units
FREN 110 - Advanced Conversation or Phonetics - 3 Units
FREN 120 - Advanced Conversation or Phonetics - 3 Units
3 additional units from any other upper-division French course.
Lower division requirements remain the same.
