Subject: Certificate in Theory and Practice of College Composition

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve minor changes to the certificate in the Theory and Practice of Basic Writing within the MA in English, effective fall 1995. The certificate will be renamed the Theory and Practice of College Composition. Two courses which are listed as required will be replaced and two course prerequisites will be changed. The number of units required for the certificate will remain 22-23 units.
