Office of the President

Approval for Revisions to the BS in Health Science

Executive Memorandum 94-052 October 17, 1994

From: Manuel A. Esteban, President

Subject: Approval for Revisions to the BS in Health Science

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve substantial changes that strengthen the BS in Health Science, effective fall 1995. The Community Health option and the School Health option will merge and be renamed the Health Education option. The total number of units required for the option will be 60-61 units.

Several changes will occur in the option in Health Services Administration. Three courses will be added to the core requirements while three courses will be removed from the option requirements and electives. One course will be added to the “units required,” and one course will be added to “units selected from.” The total number of units required for the option will be reduced from 60 to 57.
