Office of the President

Deletion of the Option in Manufacturing Systems Management within the BS in Manufacturing Technology

Executive Memorandum 98-010 February 16, 1998

From: Manuel A. Esteban, President

Subject: Deletion of the Option in Manufacturing Systems Management within the BS in Manufacturing Technology

OPTION IN MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve deletion of the Option in Manufacturing Systems within the BS in Manufacturing Technology within the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing within the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology. The elimination of the option does not change the degree program; it was the sole option remaining from program restructuring in 1992, and continuation of the designation "option" was confusing to students. The total number of units required for the major will remain unchanged at 91 units. These changes are effective fall 1998.
