Subject: Approval of a Minor Change to the BA in English
Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve a minor change to the BA in English. This change affects all options within the major. In both the Option in English Education and the Option in Literature, lists of courses replace statements instructing students to take a specific genre of course. The student had to seek advisor assistance to determine appropriate course choices. Also, this change updates the curriculum of all 3 options, removing courses from the program that haven’t been offered in 5 years. The number of units will not change. This change will be effective Fall 2013.
