Subject: Approval of a Minor Change to the General Option within the BS in Nursing
Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve a minor change to the General Option within the BS in Nursing. This change rearranges the curriculum within the Semester IV and Semester V requirements. The number of courses in Semester IV will increase from 5 to 6. The number of courses in Semester V will decrease from 6 to 4. NURS 422 and NURS 424 will move from Semester IV to Semester V. NURS 463, NURS 484, NURS 493 and NURS 494 will move from Semester V to Semester IV. NURS 444 will be deleted from the program (currently listed in Semester IV). To offset the number of units lost by the removal of NURS 444, the number of units for NURS 493 will increase from 1 to 2, and the number of units for NURS 424 will increase from 2.5 to 3. This change will be effective Fall 2014.
