Mail delivery occurs Monday-Friday between 12:45 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. The campus has two mail routes and each mail carrier completes the route in the most efficient order possible based on class breaks and/or other constraints. It is our goal to provide the campus community with the best customer service possible, Mail Services offers the following mail tips:

On-Campus Delivery Information

  • Addressing on-campus mail: please provide the recipient's name, department, and campus zip. 
  • Clearly designate your mail area and have your mail station at about waist height.
  • Large volumes of mail of more than one mail tub or tray should request a special pick-up by emailing Mail Services. Emails before noon will be picked up the same day. Include your building, room number, total number of mail tubs.
  • Notify Mail Services of department closures and supply requests for U.S. Postal supplies, FedEx supplies, tubs and trays, and intra-campus envelopes.
  • Recycle rubber bands by sending them back to Mail Services, campus zip 285.
  • Mail Services will pick up U.S. Postal mail and all packages that are no larger than a mail tub. Email Shipping to pick up packages larger than a mail tub. Emails before noon will be picked up the same day. Include your building, room number, total number of packages, and the carrier's name (UPS, FedEx, USPS, OnTrac, or Other).

Off-Campus Delivery Information

  • Postage stamp requests should be emailed to Mail Services and cc: Cody Johns. Requests made prior to your normally scheduled delivery will generally be fulfilled the same day depending on inventory.
  • Your mailbag should only contain outgoing University mail that requires postage (e.g. metered mail) and/or mail pieces that already have postage applied (e.g. stamped University mail, Business Reply Mail). If room permits, you may also place DHL, FedEx, or UPS shipments inside your mailbag.
    • Pieces that already have postage applied (e.g. Stamped University mail, Business Reply Mail) should be sorted separately from metered mail. Please rubber band to identify pieces that already have postage applied.
    • International mail needs additional postage and should be sorted separately from domestic mail. Please rubber band mail to identify international.
  • Mail Services can seal your envelopes. When sending multiple letters, stack the envelopes with their flaps up so the flaps are nested.
  • Mail Services will pick up U.S. Postal mail and all packages that are no larger than a mail tub. Email Shipping to pick up packages larger than a mail tub. Emails before noon will be picked up the same day. Include your building, room number, total number of packages, and the carrier's name (UPS, FedEx, USPS, OnTrac, or Other).

How to address incoming University Mail

For letters or other items mailed via United States Postal Service, use the University's "Mailing" address:

United States Postal Service metered mail information

All classes of mail processed through the mail meter machine are post-marked with today's date, unless the mail piece did not arrive prior to the cut-off time.
