Following review by the General Studies Advisory Committee and the recommendation of the Provost, I approve General Education (GE) status for Theme V, Beijing Theme.

BIOL 111	Ecology and Natural History: Pacific (must be taken at Chico)	B

GE status for this new theme will be effective fall 2000 and continue through the next normal review of themes and theme courses in academic year 2001-2002.
