Subject:	Executive Memorandum 00-29, Approval of New Applied Optics Pattern

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve the addition of a new Applied Optics Pattern within the Option in Professional Physics within the BS in Physics, Department of Physics, College of Natural Sciences, effective fall 2001. The number of units required for the new pattern will be 15 units. The new pattern will report using HEGIS code number 19021.
