Subject:	Executive Memorandum 02-107, Approval of New Option in Gerontology

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve the addition of a new Option in Gerontology in the BS in Health Science within the Department of Health and Community Services, College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. The number of units required for the Option will be 42 units; the major will remain unchanged at 63 units. The total number of units required for the BS will remain unchanged at 120 units. These changes are effective fall 2002. The new option has been assigned reporting code number 21043.
