Subject:	Executive Memorandum 02-12, Approval of New BA in Linguistics

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve a new BA in Linguistics, Department of English, College of Humanities and Fine Arts, effective fall 2002. The new major will require 30 units; the number of units required for the BA will be 120 units. The program has been assigned reporting code number 15051.
