Subject:	Executive Memorandum 02-27, Approval for Significant Changes to the Option in Speech Communication

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve significant changes to the Option in Speech Communication, within the BA in Communication Studies, Department of Communication Arts and Sciences, College of Communication and Education, effective fall 2003. The number of units required for the option will remain unchanged at 27 units.
