Subject:	Executive Memorandum 02-40, Approval for New Patterns within the Option In Hydrology, BS in Geosciences

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve two new patterns within the Option in Hydrology, BS in Geosciences, within the Department of Geosciences, College of Natural Sciences as follows:

Pattern in Watershed

Pattern in Hydrogeology

The number of units required for each pattern will be 11-12 units; the number of units required for the Hydrology Option will change from 51-56 units to 53-54 units. The BS will remain unchanged at 120 units. The new patterns are effective fall 2003 and will use reporting code 19172.
