Subject:	Executive Memorandum 02-45, Approval for a new Certificate in Teaching Critical Thinking

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve a new Certificate in Teaching Critical Thinking within the Department of Philosophy, College of Humanities and Fine Arts, effective fall 2002. The number of units required for the certificate will be 21 units.
