Subject:	Executive Memorandum 02-47, Approval for Addition of New Patterns and Deletion of the Pattern in Movement Design within the Option in Movement Studies, BA in Physical Education

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the concurrence of the Provost, I approve two new patterns within the Option in Movement Studies, BA in Physical Education, within the Department of Physical Education and Exercise Science, College of Communication and Education as follows:

Pattern in Adapted Physical Activity. The number of units required for the pattern will be 17-18 units.

Pattern in Outdoor Education. The number of units required for the pattern will be 25-34 units.

The number of units required for the Option in Movement Studies will change from 30-31 units to 29-47 units; the BA in Physical Education, Option in Movement Studies will remain unchanged at 120 units. The new patterns are effective fall 2003 and will use reporting code 08351.

The Pattern in Movement Design will be discontinued effective fall 2003.
