Subject:	Executive Memorandum 03-18, Approval of New BA in Music Industry and Technology

Upon the recommendation of the Academic Senate and with the approval of the Chancellor's Office, I approve a new BA in Music Industry and Technology within the Department of Music, College of Humanities and Fine Arts, effective fall 2003. The new major will require 54-57 units; the number of units required for the BA will be 120 units. The program includes two options, Recording Arts (24 units) and Music Industry (21 units). The reporting code for the degree program is 10053.
