Subject: Executive Memorandum 08-48,  Approval for Minor Changes to Programs in the Department of Journalism

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve minor changes to the programs listed below within the Department of Journalism, College of Communication and Education effective fall 2009.

• The BA in Journalism

  Course requirement changes will change the required units for the major from 34-35 units to 40-41 units. Course requirement changes to both options will change the required units from 25-26 units to 28-29 units. Total course requirements for the BA in Journalism will change from 124 units to 120 units.

• The Minor in Journalism

  Course requirement changes will change the required units for the minor from 18 units to 21 units.
