Subject: Executive Memorandum 08-56,  Approval for Minor Changes to Programs in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve minor changes to the programs listed below within the Department of Mathematics and Statistics, College of Natural Sciences effective fall 2009.

  • The BS in Mathematics
    Course requirements for the major will change from 48-49 units to 49-50 units.
    • The General Option in Mathematics
      Course requirement changes will not change the 25 units required for the option.
    • The Option in Applied Mathematics
      Course requirement changes will not change the 25 units required for the option.
    • The Option in Mathematics Education
      Course requirements changes will change from 24-25 units to 25-26 units for the option.
    • The Option in Statistics
      Course requirements changes will change from 24 units to 25 units for the option.

  • The Minor in Mathematics
    Course requirement changes will change from 25 units to 24-25 units for the minor.
