Subject: Executive Memorandum 08-59,  Approval for Minor Changes to Programs in the Department of Art and Art History

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve minor changes to the programs listed below within the Department of Art and Art History, College of Humanities and Fire Arts effective fall 2009.

  • The BA in Art
    Course requirements for the major will not change the 60 units required for the major.
    • The Art Education Option
      Course requirement changes will not change the 48 units required for the option.
    • The Art History Option
      Course requirement changes will not change the 48 units required for the option.
    • The Art Studio Option
      Course requirement changes will not change the 48 units required for the option.

  • The BFA in Art
    Course requirements for the major will change from 66 units to 57-72 units required for the major.
    • The Art Studio Option
      Course requirements will change from 66 units to 69-72 units required for the major.
    • The Interior Design Option
      Course requirement changes will change from 66 units to 57 units for the option.

  • The Minor in Art History
    Course requirement changes will not change the 21 units required for the minor.
