Subject: Executive Memorandum 08-62,  Approval for Minor Changes to Programs in the Department of Political Science

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve minor changes to the programs listed below within the Department of Political Science, College of Behavioral and Social Sciences effective fall 2009.

• The BA in Political Science
  Course requirements for the major will not change the 36-46 units required for the major.
  • The General Political Science Option
    Course requirement changes will change the units required from 23-33 units to 26-36 units for the option.
• The Legal Studies Option
  Course requirement changes will change the units required from 22-33 units to 29-36 units for the option.
  • The Alternative Dispute Resolution Pattern
    Course requirement changes will change the units required from 21 units to 18 units required for the pattern.
  • The Law and Environment Pattern
    Course requirement changes will not change the 12 units required for the pattern.
  • The Law and Social Interests Pattern
    Course requirement changes will not change the 12 units required for the pattern.
  • The Law and Theory Pattern
    Course requirement changes will not change the 12 units required for the pattern.
  • The Paralegal Studies Pattern
    Course requirement changes will change the units required from 20-21 units to 18 units required for the pattern.
    
    
• The Minor in Alternative Dispute Resolution
  Course requirements for the minor will not change the 21 units required for the minor.
  

• The Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate
  Course requirements for the certificate will not change the 27 units required for the certificate.
• The Paralegal Certificate
  Course requirements for the certificate will not change the 27 units required for the certificate.
