Subject:	Approval for New "URDU" Subject Area Designation

The proposed addition of a new subject area designation for self-instructional language courses in Urdu, the primary language of Pakistan and parts of Northern India, is approved effective fall 1988. For purposes of reporting, the subject area designation, URDU, has been formally assigned to the Center for International Studies.
