Minor Changes to the Gerontology Certificate

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve minor changes to the Gerontology Certificate within Social Science in the College of Behavioral and Social Sciences. Delete HCSV 142 (Social Services for the Aging), HCSV 143 (Social Gerontology), HCSV 144 (Leisure In Later Life), and HCSV 200 (Helping Process Health/Community Services). Add PSY 207 (Psychology of Adulthood and Aging) and SWRK 195 (Social Services for the Aging). The units required for the Certificate have been reduced from 24 to 21 units. These changes are effective fall 1997.
