Minor Changes to the BA in Music Option in Recording Arts

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve minor changes to the BA in Music, Option in Recording Arts, in the Department of Music within the College of Humanities and Fine Arts. MUS 019 (Aural Acuity for RA) will be added as a required course in the Option. MUS 207 (Sound Reinforcement) will be added to the 3-unit selection while MUS 289 (Direct Field Projects in Music) will be deleted. MUS 011A-K and MUS 111A-K (Studio Instruction) will be reduced from 2 units to 1 unit in the 2-unit selection. The required units for the option will be increased from 26 to 27 units. These changes are effective fall 1997.
