Minor Change to the Option in Information and Communication Systems in the BA in Information and Communication Studies

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve minor changes to the Option in Information and Communication Systems in the BA in Information and Communication Studies in the Department of Communication Design within the College of Communication and Education. CDES 105, CDES 210, CDES 215, and SOCI 262 will be deleted from the required units. CDES 240 and CMST 226 will be added to the required units. This reduces the required units from 18 to 12. CDES 211, CDES 212, CDES 213, CDES 240, CSCI 152, CSCI 172, CSCI 231, CSCI 270, CSCI 273, JOUR 233, and JOUR 287 will be deleted from the selected units. CDES 144, CDES 215, CDES 252, CDES 271, and CDES 272 will be added to the selected units. The "selected units from" will remain unchanged at 15. The required units in the Option have been reduced from 48 to 42 units. These changes are effective fall 1997.
