Subject:	Executive Memorandum 97-16, New Option in Science Education with a Concentration in Physics in the BS in Physics

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve the addition of the Option in Science Education with a Concentration in Physics in the BS in Physics in the Department of Physics within the College of Natural Sciences, effective fall 1997. The total number of units required for the Option will be 17. The number of units required for the major will be 70-87.
