Subject:	Executive Memorandum 99-09, Approval of General Education Courses - Area A4 Mathematical Concepts (formerly Area B3)

 

Following review by the General Studies Advisory Committee and the recommendation of the Provost, I approve General Education (GE) status for the following courses:

Mathematical Concepts

MATH 004
MATH 005/005H
MATH 006
MATH 007A
MATH 009A
MATH 010/010H
MATH 045

Note: MATH 007B,C,D currently have GE status, but since the first course in the sequence is a prerequisite to the subsequent courses, it suffices to designate only MATH 007A as the GE course.

GE status for courses listed will be effective fall 1999 and continue through the next normal review cycle. Area A4 courses will be reviewed with Area B courses.
