Subject:	Executive Memorandum 99-35, Approval of ASST 100/ANTH 171, Cultures of Asia - General Education Area D3 and Non-Western Status

Upon the recommendation of the Provost, I approve General Education (GE) Area D3 and Non-Western (NW) status for ASST 100/ANTH 171, Cultures of Asia. GE and NW status for the course will be effective spring 2000 and continue through the next normal review of Area D courses in academic year 2000-2001.
