Meet Our 2015 Outstanding Faculty Award Winners
California State University, Chico’s Faculty Recognition and Support Committee has announced its selections for the 2015-2016 Outstanding Faculty Awards. The awards, which include Outstanding Professor, Teacher, Research Mentor, Adviser, Lecturer and Faculty Service, are among the highest within the University. Faculty members are nominated by their peers and selected by a faculty committee.
The 2015-16 Professional Achievement Honors Awardees Named
Four faculty have been selected to receive the 2015-2016 Professional Achievement Honors. This honor recognizes faculty who have excelled as teacher/scholars during the past three years. They will be honored during the Celebrate the Stars reception Tuesday, Feb. 23 from 2 to 4 pm in the Bell Memorial Union, Room 203.
President's Spring 2016 Message, "Dreams and Efforts"
Welcome to the start of the Spring Semester, 2016! 2016 – the year of the monkey in the Chinese zodiac. A symbol of intelligence and curiosity, optimism and good health, the monkey portends a year of joyful pursuits, progress and accomplishments. And, to be sure, we will see a lot of these characteristics in evidence throughout the spring and as we move to its grand conclusion, Commencement in May. This will be the 126th Spring Commencement exercise in our University’s history, dating to the first one in 1891 when 12 students (11 of them women) received their teaching credentials from the Chico Normal School.
