The lessons and activities included in this course may be integrated into a teacher education course of study as
determined by the instructor. However, enough time should be structured either prior to a candidate's student
teaching assignment or concurrent with it so that the learner has the opportunity to design, teach, and evaluate
an integrated academic/service-learning unit of study in a real-world classroom setting.
