September 27th Meeting Synopsis

A talk was given by a guest speaker from Rape Crisis. Here are some statistics.  80% of Rapes are perpetrated by someone the victim knows and 95% if the victim is under 18.  Also, if you plan on becoming sexual with your partner make sure that they know your limits before hand. The phone number for Rape Crisis is 530-342-Rape and you do not have to be in a crisis to call.  Volunteer brochures were handed out.

The second half of the meeting was devoted to Psi Chi business.  November 29th is the day of formal induction, so make sure you have your 15 points by then!  Applications and dues are due by the next meeting, Oct 11th.  Please get them to us as soon as possible.  The dues are $15 local, a semester and if you want to be a national member, there is a one time cost of $35.  The point system can be found on the blog section of our My Space page.
