CSU, Chico took over the Big Apple last April for the second annual Suitcase College Adventure to New York City.

More than fifteen alums traveled to New York, together with the twenty-six Chico State students who participated in the National Model United Nations Conference. This year’s Model United Nations team received the Outstanding Delegation award and was one of only ten schools to receive an award for Outstanding Position Papers. More than 200 collegiate delegations participate in the conference, including eight California State University schools.

The alumni association again hosted a reception at the Film Center Café for the travelers from Chico, the Model UN students, and East Coast alumni. This year, CSU, San Bernardino students, alumni, and college representatives joined the festivities. Plans are underway to expand the 2001 reception to include all CSUs that participate in the Model UN conference.
