The Student Health Service at CSU, Chico, staffed by board-certified physicians, registered nurses, and physician assistants, offers comprehensive outpatient care at no cost to students. The clinic includes a pharmacy, laboratory, and x-ray department. Services include evaluations by a physician or nurse practitioner/physician assistant, laboratory tests, physical examinations, x-rays, family planning services, specialized gynecological services, allergy injections, immunizations, and orthopedic supplies. The Student Health Service is not open evenings or weekends and may not be able to provide all necessary care. Therefore, it is important that students have health insurance that provides access to care in the Chico area.
