Joseph Bartels (B.A., Psychology, '90) was married in July 1999 in Boulder, Colorado. Bartels is currently a sales representative for Hi-Tec Sports USA.

Adam Bodine (B.A., Anthropology, '90) and John Lane (B.S., Physical Science, '92) flew a reconnaissance mission that could result in the expansion of parklands in Sumatra. The pair joined CSU, Sacramento anthropology professor G.M. Drawhorn in central Sumatra, where the group met with park officials to identify endangered species and explore the rainforest region. Their mission hopes to encourage further donations from National Geographic and the Outdoor Life Network.

Cheryl (Weik) Cannon (B.A., English, '90) got married in October 1999 in South Lake Tahoe. She is co-owner with her husband, Tyler, of Sprouts Natural Food Cafe at South Lake Tahoe.

Bret Churchman (B.A., Mass Communications, '90) is a broker-associate for Prudential California Realty. Churchman lives in Tahoe Donner with his wife, Rhonda, and two children.

Mike Fajman (B.S., Business Administration, '90) is the director of finance at Caesars Tahoe.

Mary Kay Hancharick (B.S., Biological Sciences, '90) married Bruce Jeffrey Polsemen of Walnut Creek in October. Hancharick is an editor for a Pacific Grove publishing firm. Polsemen is a software engineer in Pleasanton.

Doug Starr (B.S., Business Administration, '90) heads the new almond division at Calcot, a grower-owned cooperative that finds domestic and foreign markets for its members' cotton and almonds.

Erin Connors (B.A., Music, '91) is teaching music at the Lincoln American School in Taichung, Taiwan. Previously, she taught in Live Oak.

Patricia Mae (Brown) Fleming (B.A., Political Science, '91) is married and is an account executive with KDON Radio.

Paul Arthur Henderson (B.S., Electrical/Electronic Engineering, '91) is an electronic engineer with Advanced Fibre Communications in Petaluma. He was married in April 1999.

Vincent A. Hill (B.A., Information and Communication Studies, '91) got married in March 1999. Hill is the production supervisor at the Mountain Democrat and also works as a freelance graphic artist.

Robin Holly (B.A., Liberal Studies, '91) completed her teaching credential in 1992 and taught second grade in the Los Angeles Unified School District. During the 1996-97 school year she participated in the Fulbright Teacher Exchange Program in England. She is currently teaching first grade in Santa Rosa.

Diana Schweiger (B.A., Journalism, '91) is Northern California sales and marketing director for Rosemount Estate Winery of Australia in Sonoma. Schweiger formerly worked for Paterno Imports, a wine importing and marketing company, and for World Wide Wines, Inc. in Connecticut.

Len Steckler (B.A., Economics, '91) is serving as a committee member on downtown Jackson's parking committee. Steckler is a downtown business owner and president of the Historical Jackson Business Association.

Jennifer French (B.S., Business Administration, '92) is married to the director of human resources at Seascape Resort in Aptos and lives in Monterey.

Gerold (Jerry) Grant (B.S., '90; M.S., Biological Sciences, '92) earned his Ph.D. in Trout Ecology in June 1999 from the University of Minnesota, St. Paul. He now works for the State of Minnesota Department of Natural Resources as a research biologist in Brainerd, MN.

Christine (Lanam) Malde (B.S., Home Economics, '92) is married and currently works for a model-home design firm in San Ramon.

Bryan Moberly (B.S., Business Administration, '92) married MaryAnn Machado in October 1999 in Lake Tahoe. Moberly is the advertising and marketing manager for Flowmaster Inc. in Santa Rosa. Machado is employed by Exchange Bank as a new accounts representative and loan interviewer in Santa Rosa.

Elizabeth (Gonsalves) Boyle (B.A., Psychology, '93) is married and works as an office manager for a Chico physician.

Kevin Brooks (M.B.A., Business Administration, '93) started his own business, Kebunet, a one-man Web department for about a dozen Oregon businesses, including Oregon Quality Printing and Portland Sausage. His Web sites are custom-built for business use. For more information visit www.KebuNet.com.

Dionne (Hansen) Dalhamer (B.A., Psychology, '93) married Christopher Dalhamer (B.S., Business Administration, '95) in September 1998 at the Lodge at Pebble Beach. She works as a marriage, family, and child counselor intern. He is an assistant superintendent at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Lynne Rampoldi Hnilo (B.S., Chemistry; B.A., Information and Communication Studies, '93) has earned her doctorate from Michigan State University. Hnilo's degree is in telecommunication, specializing in mass media. She accepted a position at Stanford University in Palo Alto, where she will lecture doctor of philosophy candidates in her field of expertise. She and her husband, Dr. Justin Hnilo, live in Livermore.

Javier Abel Huerta (B.S., Civil Engineering, '93) is working as a project engineer at Caltrans in the North Region Division of Design at District 3, Marysville. Huerta has his professional engineer qualification in civil engineering. He previously worked as a Field Engineer for Caltrans with the District 3 Construction Division at South Lake Tahoe Area for roadway and bridge projects, and as bridge engineer for the Caltrans Office of Structures Construction at Oakland for Cypress Replacement Bridge Project.

Kristen (Short) Machamer (B.A., Social Science, '93) is married and is a staffing specialist with Preferred Temps, Inc., in State College, Pennsylvania.

Tiffany Robinson (B.A., Child Development, '93) recently married Lance Soderman in Sacramento. Robinson is employed by Coldwell Banker.

William S. Batie (B.S., Business Administration, '94) is married and is employed with Morgan Stanley Dean Witter as a financial adviser and associate vice president.

Douglas Michael Beaumont (B.A., Psychology, '94) is a manager at Ritz Camera and is a frequent speaker at FOCUS on the Chico State campus. He plans to attend Southern Evangelical Seminary in Charlotte, NC. He was married in May 1999 to Elaine Regina Hoff.

Shelley (Cline) Bennett (B.A., Physical Education, '94) is married and is a bartender at The Lodge at Pebble Beach.

Robin Ewart (B.S., Home Economics, '94) is a first grade teacher with the Orland Public School District.

Tiffanie Fife (B.A., History, '94) teaches at Anderson High School. She will also assume the duties of activities director.

Keith Jacobs (B.A., Music, '94) owns Pan Percussion in Paradise. Recently, he performed drum pieces from around the world at the "Friends of the Library" annual meeting.

Heather Kellog (B.S., Business Administration, '94) recently married Timothy Marklein, vice president of Applied Communications in San Francisco. Kellogg received the Panhellenic Scholarship Award, was on the dean's list, and is a Pi Beta Phi Sorority alumna. She is a manager of corporate communications for Electronics for Imaging in Foster City.

Jolene Luiz (B.A., Liberal Studies, '94) teaches the first grade at Liberty School in Petaluma.

Jenise Minor (B.A., Psychology, '94) received her master of arts degree summa cum laude in behavior analysis psychology from CSU, Sacramento. Minor will be working with a group of behavior analysis consultants in Sacramento.

Joshua David Nielson (B.A., Teaching Credential, '94) married Gina Michele Doglione in Monterey. Nielson currently coaches football and basketball and teaches at Palma High School.

Lisa Marie Del Duca (B.A., Liberal Studies & Spanish, '95) earned her teaching credential from Chapman University in 1999.

Elizabeth Jordan (B.A., Liberal Studies, '95) married Calan Nelson in July 1999 at the Point Reyes Seashore Lodge in Olema. Jordan also graduated from the Dominican College Teaching Credential Program and is currently employed with the Sun Valley School in San Rafael.

Glen Olives (B.A., Social Science, summa cum laude, '95) has passed the California State Bar exam and has opened his law office in Marysville.

Umberto Salinas (B.S., Biological Sciences, '95) is married and is a biology teacher and head football coach at Lincoln High School.

Douglas Michael Smith (B.A., Music; B.S., Economics, '95) has recently graduated as valedictorian of the day and evening divisions from the McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento. He will join the law firm of Miller, Star, and Regalia in Walnut Creek.

Lisa Carolyn Bocanegra (B.A., Journalism, '96) married Christopher Pietrantonio in December in Pebble Beach. Bocanegra works in the special events department for Pebble Beach Resorts, and her husband works as a golf professional at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Jodie Lynn Joslin (B.A.,'96; M.A., Speech Pathology/Audiology) graduated in May 1999 with her master's degree in speech audiology. Her husband, Bill, is also a graduate of Chico State.

Wendy E. Mann (B.A., English, '96) is a Navy seaman and is serving as a military reporter.

Barrett Plants (B.A., History, '96) is a teacher at Orland High School.

Mario Reveles (B.A., History, '96) married Michelle Hutton in July 1999 at Kelly Ridge Country Club in Oroville. Reveles is employed as a teacher at Yuba City High School and is in the master's program at Sacramento State. Hutton is employed as a registered dental assistant in Sacramento.

Jenny (Belcher) Stocks (B.A., Liberal Studies, '96) married Jason Raymond Stocks (B.S., Construction Management, '98) in August 1998 in Paradise.

James Jula (B.S., Computer Engineering, '97) is leaving his position as a hardware design engineer at Intel Corporation in Portland, Oregon, to work as an independent contractor designing server systems based on Intel architecture. James and his wife, Jolene, are expecting their first child in February. James qualified as a pilot in 1991 and earned a commercial pilot license in 1999. Victoria (Ceccon) Millsaps (B.A., Liberal Studies; Credential, '97) was married in December 1998 in Willows, where she is a third-grade teacher.

Reina (Lehtinen) Pace (B.S., Business Administration, '97) married Ryan Pace (B.A., Art, '97) in July 1999 in Woodlake. He is a high school teacher and coach, and she is a sales consultant. They live in Sacramento.

Brianna Weston Pickens (B.A., Art, '97) and her husband, Edward, recently celebrated their first-year anniversary at their home in Encinitas.

Pravin Rajamoney (B.S., Computer Engineering, '97) joined Tektronix, Inc. at Grass Valley in 1997 and has been working on a video-conferencing coder/decoder using MPEG2 technology. He is planning to get his master's degree.

Melissa Sandoval-Ramirez (B.A., Liberal Studies, '97) is a resource specialist serving both C.K. Price and Orland High School.

Andrea (Flowers) Sardella (B.A., Liberal Studies, '97) married Eric Scott Sardella (B.S., Computer Information Systems, '97) in August 1998 in Modesto. She is completing her student teaching at Auburn Elementary, while he is employed as a graphics software engineer at Intel Corporation.

Claudia Scrofani (B.S., Business Administration, '97) married Greg Spies (B.S., Business Administration, '97) in March 1999 in Camarillo. She is a sales consultant at McCarthy Broadcasting in Redding, and he is membership director at the Golf Club in Tierra Oaks.

Ryan Smith (B.A., History, '97) instructs students in English and social studies. He teaches in Orland.

Kymberlee (Barrow) Stapleton (B.A., Social Science, '97) is married and is completing law school at Willamette University in Salem, Oregon. Following graduation in May 2000, she will work as a judicial clerk for the Oregon Court of Appeals.

Alison Sweeters (B.A., Social Science, '97) is the club director for the Boys & Girls Club that opened in Paradise, California, last fall.

Tara Tuschen (B.A., Speech Pathology/Audiology, '97) has just received her master's degree in speech pathology and audiology. She will work in Victorville, California.

Juan Acevedo (M.A., Political Science, '98) has recently been welcomed as a bilingual agent for ABC Realty of Willows and Orland.

Keturah (Ruby) Anderson (B.A., Recreation Administration, '98) met her husband, Darrick, while both were working at a Northern California recreation area.

Craig Cassetta (B.A., Political Science, '98) married Lourdes (Beeson) Cassetta (B.A., Liberal Studies, '99) in December 1999 in Chico. He is employed with the County of Glenn, and she is completing the teacher credential program through CSU, Chico.

Stacey Marie Felkins (B.A., Anthropology, '98) and Jeffrey Douglas Schlaman (B.S., Business Administration) have announced their engagement. Felkins is employed by Sears in San Bruno, and Schlaman works for Robertson, Woodford, and Francis, LLP in Grass Valley.

Sarah Michelle Freitas (B.S., Business Administration, '98) and Stephen Gary Dean (B.A., Sociology, '98) were married in June 1999. Freitas works as a sales/marketing assistant at State Street, an investment management firm in Los Angeles. Dean is employed as a clerk at a Los Angeles law firm.

Holly Hand (B.S., Nursing, '98) is working at UC, Davis Medical Center in Sacramento as an orthopedic registered nurse.

Michelle Laffranchi (B.A., Political Science, '98) is the new executive director of the Butte County Farm Bureau.

Heidi Laird (B.A., Political Science/ICST Media Arts, '98) is now a legislative aide for State Assemblyman Dick Dickerson.

Matthew Lund (B.A., Communication Design, '98) is working for KMVT-TV in Twin Falls, Idaho, as a television sports anchor.

Amy Renee Martin (B.A., Journalism, '98) has recently married Kevin Wright Looney (B.S., Mechanical Engineering, '99). She is a member of International Association of Business Communicators (IABC).

Heather Rae Bingham (B.A., Journalism, '99) has been hired by Deen & Black Public Relations as an account coordinator in the Sacramento office.

Jamie (Webster) Stech (B.A., Music/Vocal Performance, '98) and husband, David Stech (B.A., Music/Vocal Performance, '98), performed in a production of The Messiah. Jamie was the featured soprano and is a winner of the Butte County Young Musician's Competition. David is a bass/baritone and is the 1995 winner of the Chico Symphony Concerto Competition. He is also the director of the Chico Men's Chorus.

Barbara Stengel (B.A., History, '98) is this year's recipient of the CSU, Chico President's Award. Stengel is a native of Germany and graduated summa cum laude. She currently works as a substitute teacher in Sutter County and is a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Phi Alpha Theta, and the International Training in Communications.

Heather Stellmacher (B.S., Health Sciences, '98) works for American Mobile Nurses as a housing manager. She recently married Bodie Shepherd in May 1999. The couple will reside in Redding.

Shane Cummings (B.S., Geosciences, '99) is a geoscientist with Metcalf and Eddy Air and Water, a worldwide environmental company dealing with environmental remediation. He is also employed by A/C Industrial Services as an environmental engineer/hazardous waste technician.

Michael Delgado (B.A., Communication Design, '99) is a graphic designer and was married in June 1999 to Kimberly Bastiani.

Mark De Sio (M.P.A., Public Administration, '99), former newspaper reporter and legislative aide, was named to the newly created community relations director post of the Fairfield-Suisun School District. He worked as a legislative aide to former state Senator Mike Thompson and to former Representative Vic Fazio. He and his wife, a teacher in Winters, have two children.

Judson Ferdon (B.A., Journalism/Organizational Communication, '99) is the new marketing director of both Marin Brewing Co. and Moylan's Brewing Co.

Richard James (B.A., Communication Design, '99) started college at CSU, Chico in 1973, after serving a tour in Vietnam. James started James Gang Printing in 1976 in San Diego.

Amy Luchesse (B.S., Biological Sciences/Dietetics, '99) graduated with honors and entered Life Chiropractic College in the fall of 1999.
