WILLARD TURNER
(B.A., Business,’53) retired in 1986 after thirty-three years as a sales representative in the Northwest for a large shoe company. He has been married for forty-two years and has two grown children. He lives in Portland and enjoys many hobbies and traveling in his motorhome. Turner writes, “I enjoyed Chico Statements. In “Wildcats on the Move,” I did not see any alumni from the ’50s, so I want to keep in touch. I especially enjoyed the story on Dr. Glenn Kendall [“From Kentucky Principal to California President,” fall 1997]...he was president when I was at Chico. I also enjoyed the story on Chico Normal School [“The President Who Saved the College,” fall 1997]… my mother, Evelyn Callaway graduated from Chico Normal in 1918.”
