DAN ROTT (B.A., Political Science, '70) is the principal at Tremont Elementary School in Dixon, California. His retirement dream is to own a travel agency.

HELEN FEY (B.A., English, '72) and Jerry Pike (B.A., English, '76; M.A. with distinction, English, '79) live in Santa Barbara and work for Santa Barbara Community College. Pike is an administrator. Fey has been teaching film courses part time and has developed a Web site for the film studies program at SBCC (http://www.sbcc.net/academic/

).

CARLA PEW (B.A., Theatre Arts, '72; M.A., Theatre Arts, '77) is the executive assistant to the provost and vice president of academic affairs at California State University, Monterey Bay.

CARL ZANGER (B.A., Physical Education, '72) is president and owner of Referral Realty in Cupertino, California. He is a member of the National Association of Realtors, California Association of Realtors, and Relo International.

CONRAD MONTGOMERY (B.S., Geography, '73) is the director of the El Dorado County Planning Department. He designed and crafted eight stained-glass windows installed at City Hall.

MARGOT JENKINS (M.A., Anthropology, '75) is the international student adviser at South Dakota State University. She was one of twelve recipients of a Joseph P. Malone Fellowship selected for sponsorship to Saudi Arabia. Previously, Jenkins was a Peace Corps volunteer in Honduras from 1987 to 1990.

JUDY SANDS (B.A., Social Welfare, '75) is now a sergeant for Dublin Police Services. She had been a sergeant for thirteen of her twenty years with the Alameda County Sheriff's Department.

Photo: Joan IrvingJOAN IRVING (B.A., Art, '76) started Joan Irving Glass Design in Chico in 1978 and then moved her studio to San Diego in 1988. Her contemporary glass sculpture, furniture, and accessories are sold in galleries and museum stores around the world and are on display in the permanent collection of the Corning Glass Museum in Corning, New York. Irving's commissioned Wind Dance, Sunlight Juxtaposed, and Paper Vortex adorn San Diego's newly remodeled airport.

ALEXA KEIHL-VALLES (B.A., Liberal Studies, '76) and JERRY VALLES (B.A., Liberal Studies, '87), who live in Santa Cruz, did a month-long house swapping with a couple from Paris during summer 1998.

MAUREEN PIERCE (B.A., Economics, '76), a former member of the Associated Students Board of Directors, is the executive director of the Boys & Girls Club of Chico.

Photo: Jean SilvaJEANNE SILVA (B.A., Speech Pathology and Audiology, '79) works for Hewlett Packard in Roseville. She is one of three female vocalists in the twenty-four member Moonlight Swing. The band has a CD, Really Fine, and may be seen on the Internet at www.moonlightswing.org.

RUSS WOODY (B.A., Broadcast Journalism, '79) was a Distinguished Alum at Chico State in 1997 and a commencement speaker for Chico State in 1998. He is a consulting producer with Brillstein/Grey, a 1997 Golden Globe Award winner as co-executive producer of Cybil, and a 1990 Emmy winner as writer/producer of Murphy Brown. Woody is married with two young sons.
