I often remember riding my bike in Bidwell Park, catching live music downtown during the summer, and shopping at the Farmers Market. The Business Administration and Accounting Programs at Chico State gave me an excellent foundation on which to build a career. These programs not only prepared me academically but gave me networking, collaborating, and problem-solving experience that has helped me make the transition from student to working professional.... The Introductory Accounting Mentoring Program gave me confidence and helped me to understand basic accounting concepts with greater clarity as I struggled to find ways to teach students who were having difficulties."

Asked what she intends to do with her college degree, she said, "I just want to have it. I think I am going to be a lifelong student. I'm like a chia pet.
