President Ann Nock (B.A., Economics, '86), a 600-member student organization committed to changing the make-up of the council. When Ding left Chico, he worked for State Senator John Doolittle (now a congressman) and managed his re-election campaign in 1988. He has been involved with numerous campaigns, including Republican Bernie Richter's successful bid for the California State Assembly in 1992. Ding wrote, "If I could give one piece of advice to anyone attending CSU, Chico who has sights set on the political arena, it is to get out of the classroom and do as many internships as possible. Practical experience counts. Thank you, Professor Chuck Price!"
