Glen Bleske, Journalism, was named Outstanding Journalism Teacher of the Year at a Four-year University by the California Newspaper Publishers Association. He specializes in the development of the Black Press in the United States, journalism history, and journalism education.

Peter Gross, Journalism, received the Secretary of the U.S. State Department’s Public Service Award for his “contribution to international relations” while lecturing at the Secretary’s “Open Forum” in 1998. Gross is the author of Mass Media in Revolution and National Development: the Romanian Laboratory, which earned the American-Romanian Academy of Arts and Sciences 1996 Book Award.
