CSU, Chico is the first university in the United States to offer a B.S. in Mechatronic Engineering, which combines mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering in the area of "intelligent" product design.

In collaboration with Telcordia Technologies Inc., CSU, Chico offers an M.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies, a telecommunications degree for technical professionals, combining live, satellite, and Internet-delivered classes.

CSU, Chico administers a new five-CSU campus collaborative M.F.A. in Creative Writing, the first in the nation offered by a consortium of universities.

The College of Business is one of six U.S. colleges of business to enter a partnership with SAP America, the world's fourth largest supplier of business application software. Of the six, CSU, Chico was awarded the top prize of $100,000 for the quality of its program.

CSU, Chico's Integrated Teacher CORE is an innovative interdisciplinary undergraduate curriculum allowing students to obtain a teaching credential faster than conventional credential programs.
