CSU, Chico maintains one of the strongest and most respected
on-campus corporate recruiting programs on the West Coast.
In a 2002 survey of employers, recruiters rated 86 percent
of Chico students outstanding or above average compared to
other universities. Some of the prestigious corporations that
have been most active in job offers and acceptances are

- California Franchise Tax Board
Graduates of several programs, including special education,
speech pathology, nursing, and construction management, enjoy
a near 100 percent employment rate. For example, 2002 graduates
in construction management averaged five interviews and received
2.5 job offers. All graduates were placed.
Leader in Technology
CSU, Chico was the first university in the system to offer
a 24-hour computing laboratory and 24-hour phone assistance.
A multimedia laboratory allows students to edit digital
video, create Web pages and graphics, and scan materials.
NetStudy rooms are available for student groups that need
a shared computer and Internet connection.
The Assistive Technology Center provides proactive support
for access to technology by students with physical and learning
disabilities.
Smart Classrooms
CSU, Chico has 51 “smart” classrooms equipped
with Internet connectivity and projectors and screens installed
with operating controls from a podium or computer station.
Teacher Education Online
Liberal Studies Online, preparation for elementary teaching,
has been offered since spring 2002 to students throughout
California studying to be elementary education teachers.
Chico State Connection
The CSU, Chico portal will be the primary means by which
students enroll, search for classes, add and drop classes,
pay fees, adjust schedules, research financial aid information,
communicate with others, and participate in online classes.
Real-time registration will be implemented by fall 2003.
