CSU, Chico maintains one of the strongest and most respected on-campus corporate recruiting programs on the West Coast. In a spring 2006 survey of employers, recruiters rated 80 percent of Chico students outstanding or above average compared to other universities. Graduates of several programs, including special education, speech pathology, nursing, accounting, and construction management, enjoy a near 100 percent employment rate. Spring 2006 graduates in construction management were recruited by 107 companies. Each graduate averaged seven interviews and received three to four job offers at salary offerings of $57,000 and above. All graduates received jobs.
Information Resources
A campus portal provides single sign-on access to online registration, courses, Web-based e-mail, grades, and campus information 24 hours a day.
Secure wireless networking is available in the library, the student union, and residence hall common areas of campus.
The student computing labs and student help desk in the library are open 24 hours a day. NetStudy rooms in the library serve small groups of students with a shared computer and large-screen display.
