Brigadier General Mary J. Kight (1973, BA Social Welfare) (photo at right)
is assistant adjutant general for the California National Guard, serving as a military assistant and advisor to the adjutant general for U.S. Army and Air National Guard matters in California. Among her numerous awards is the Defense Meritorious Service Medal.
Daniel G. Moffat (1978, BS Business Administration–Financial Management) is president and CEO of Guam Telephone Authority. Prior to joining GTA in January 2007, he was executive vice president of EarthLink. Moffat was named 2005 Frost and Sullivan Telecom CEO.
Craig Frazier (1978, BA Communication Design) (photo at left) is an illustrator
and president of Craig Frazier Studio. His work is in the permanent collection of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art. Frazier has published four books and designed three stamps for the U.S. Postal Service.
Dennis P. Murphy (1994, BS Civil Engineering) is president of
Hayden Homes, a builder of high-quality residential communities throughout Oregon and California. He graduated from the Owner/President Program at the Harvard Business School in 2006.
Judy Lynn Sitton (1968, BA Social Science; 1969, Credential;
2003, Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters) (photo at right) is chair of the CSU, Chico Advisory Board, vice chair of the Enloe Medical Center Board of Trustees, and president of the Northern California Natural History Museum board. In 2000, she retired as executive vice president of SunGard Bi-Tech Software, which she co-founded with her husband.
Carolyn Shoemaker (1949, AB Social Science; 1950, MA
Social Science) had the world’s first outdoor planetarium dedicated in her honor in December 2006. The Shoemaker Open Sky Planetarium is located at the Kiwanis Chico Community Observatory in upper Bidwell Park. Shoemaker is the leading comet discoverer in history.
