    named as Publisher’s Picks by Hispanic Outlook in Higher Education, an annual national list of colleges and universities that the publisher sees as having solid records in recruiting, enabling, and graduating Hispanic students.

    laureate graduates responded to a graduating senior survey that they were satisfied with CSU, Chico as a whole.

Continued Recognition as One of America’s Best Colleges

CSU, Chico is ranked fourth among master’s level public universities in the western United States in the 2007 America’s Best Colleges from U.S. News & World Report magazine. The University was fourth in 2006 and 2003 and ranked third in 2005, 2004, and 2002.

National Recognition for Community Service

CSU, Chico was one of ten colleges or universities in the country named as finalists for the President’s Higher Education Community Service Award for Excellence in General Community Service in October 2006. The award was made by the Corporation for National and Community Service, an independent federal agency that fosters volunteerism and service.

California State University, Chico, founded in 1887, is a residential campus located in Northern California. With Little Chico Creek winding through the center of campus, CSU, Chico is known for its beauty. One measure of the quality of a university is the opinion recent graduates have of their alma mater. In the most recent Spring Graduate Survey, 97 percent of baccalaureate graduates reported they were satisfied with the value of their education at CSU, Chico, and 98 percent indicated they were satisfied with CSU, Chico as a whole.
