CSU, Chico maintains one of the strongest and most respected on-campus corporate recruiting programs on the West Coast. In a spring 2008 survey, recruiters rated 70 percent of Chico students outstanding or above average compared to other universities. Some of the prestigious corporations that have hired graduates are

Graduates of several programs, including special education, speech pathology, nursing, accounting, and construction management, enjoy a near 100 percent employment rate. A survey of the 2008 construction management graduates revealed 96 percent accepted job offers. Each of these graduates received an average of five interviews, three job offers, and a starting salary of $62,000 per year.


Continuing Education received a $1 million endowment from the Bernard Osher Foundation to extend the services of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, a peer-led, learning-in-retirement organization at CSU, Chico.


The campus portal provides access to registration, online courses, Web-based e-mail, grades, and campus information 24 hours a day.

Secure wireless networking is available in many areas of campus including the library, student union, and residence hall common areas.

The student computing labs and student help desk in the library are open and staffed 24 hours a day.

Students can use NetStudy rooms for collaborative projects, sharing computers and large-screen displays.
