CSU, Chico is ranked sixth among master’s level public universities in the western United States in the 2010 America’s Best Colleges from U.S. News & World Report magazine.

For the second year in a row, CSU, Chico is listed in the top 10 in two categories in the Chronicle of Higher Education’s Great Colleges to Work For survey.

California State University, Chico, founded in 1887, is a residential campus located in Northern California. With Little Chico Creek winding through the center of campus, CSU, Chico is known for its beauty. One measure of the quality of a university is the opinion recent graduates have of their alma mater. In the most recent Spring Graduate Survey, 97 percent of baccalaureate graduates reported they were satisfied with the value of their education at CSU, Chico, and 98 percent indicated they were satisfied with CSU, Chico as a whole.
